RPB Series Roots Blowers
WALKERS RPB Roots vacuum booster pumps, Air-cooled, offer pumping speeds ranging from 90 cfm to 1,449 cfm (153 m3/h to 2,460 m3/h). A vacuum booster pump does not have a performance of its own. It is used to extend the performance of the backing pump with which it is combined. The performance of the combination (pumping set) depends on the characteristics of the backing pump. It may be said that Roots vacuum boosters are capable of improving the attainable ultimate pressure of a pump system by a factor of 10. With two Roots vacuum booster stages and a corresponding backing pump it is possible to attain pressures in the range down to 0.75 x 10-5 Torr (10-5 mbar).
